Oilpaint Brush ?

this picture with brush strokes was made in Win7 Paint

the brush is called oil

how do i get the same effect in Gimp ?

Looks to me like it might need to be a .gih brush. I did this rather quickly with a 'Galaxy' brush (basically a splatter brush blurred) and the settings/colors listed. Close but no cigar.

some similar brushes in GPS, I don't have GPs but i downloaded the brushes and other stuff from here

Think you will like the oil 3 brush from GPS

I think you would need an almost translucent particle brush for this.
Just to make it look wet.
