i wanna see your gradient molly ;)

Sorry Esper, I tried and tried in Gimp-2.8. I have made several using Jolie's tutorial when I was still using Gimp-2.6. It was a breeze. BUT, the editor in 2.8 SUCKS and I can't get it to save in the gradient lists.
Anyway, I tried... :gaah

There are some nice gradients here but it seems we cannot upload .ggr files for sharing.

Nice Molly, another way of using gradients. I would never have thought of distorting the gradient.

one power nap later (the infection makes me so sleepy it's ridiculous and i hate it!) i can finally post my own latest gradients, made before the virus struck. the funny thing is i had the same idea as he4rty - designing a stripe gradient for making checked pattern - in my case of course tartan, of the royal stewart pattern. and i too made my own eyeball gradient, i've never liked the default ones, especially the green one is hideous, so i'm now experimenting on how to make it less so and this is my first attempt.

ImageImage
(i put another striped gradient diagonally on overlay over it to give a sort of weave texture)

So I was thinking along the lines of a rolling curve gradient then this idea came to mind - That's all Folks

Yes the gradient is greyscale, I like greyscale as it gives more opportunities to colour.

The font was from dafont and can be found here.

Awesome gradient, he4rty!
I was using Inkscape to achieve this effect (different technique tho, not related to gradients), thanks for showing how to do it in GIMP!

This is one I made a few years back to make bacon with. I've used it for other things too.

Actually I have now set up the last image I did as my new desktop background, Its quite cool when you close your web browers to be greeted with the words "That's all Folks."
