Recent Work

I recently have done some work on a fractal I did before Christmas.
mostly working on the round flowered area I cropped it and then manipulated it with gimp making a wallpaper then went on to make a texture with it.
I have nearly uploaded them all to another site as well as I have colourised the 18 pictures. I also made writing paper [by lightening each one] (Does anyone do that anymore? My mother does.) Could make for nice printing paper too.
I also did this with some other gimping & G'MIC work.

Thank you Molly, they are quite big files and even though I have 7z'd them they are still taking an hour or more to load. (about 100 MB approx each)

I love them Sallyanne they are very impressive; may I ask what product you are using to generate them. I have downloaded a number of new 'toys' such as Incendia but have just not got round to opening them yet; still too busy learning GIMP!!.

Thanks guys. Apart from using gimp and G'MIC, and celtic knot for one, (brown paper - you cannot see the pattern unless you enlarge it) I may have used JWildfire for the basis of my larger texture one.
Oh and the ones that look the same are just colourised to make them a different colour.
To get most textures I just embossed patterns I already had.

Now onto making smaller tileable patterns/textures. Will be easier to up-load and more people I think may be interested in them.

Did this one this morning.
Turned out ok I guess but not sure what I will use it for yet

Use Samj's 'rays of colours' (settings changed until you get something you like), a random hue nova @ 85% on a layer underneath
then mapped to sphere changing a few settings as well.
