I love G'Mic for painting effects. I like running "Lylejk's Painting" followed by "Corvos painting 5". Sometimes I will run Corvos twice. It makes for a realistic paint look. Adding a canvas texture is a good final step.

Brushify and Paint Daub are also great paint filters within G'Mic.

My favorite is Dream Smoothing followed by DCP dehazing default settings on a transparent background

A self portrait using Norseman143's painting technique with the addition of Canvas Texture (also in G'Mic).
