GIMP 2.8.2 Now Available For Fedora 17

You can grab GIMP 2.8.2 from the testing repos. Molly and I have installed it and there are no issues.

Use this command to update your current version from the testing repos. In terminal, as root..

yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update gimp

If you don't already have GIMP installed, use this variation. In terminal, as root..

Code: Select all

yum --enablerepo=updates-testing install gimp

Note that this command will only enable the testing repos temporarily while you install/update GIMP.

Don't permanently enable the testing repos unless you're a tester. :mrgreen:

GIMP 2.8.2 will soon be pushed to the stable update repository and you'll be able to grab it in the course of normal updates.
