GIMP and INKSCAPE

So i finally started to learn Inkscape.
Followed a few tutorials and i feel its harder than Gimp.

But i especially like the text function because the fonts are always nice and smooth.

So how do i use text made with Inkscape in Gimp ?

Do i import a .svc or do i export it as a .png ?

Gimp will open Inkscape's svg files. It will also give you the option of resizing the image when you open it in gimp.

You can also export paths from Gimp as svg and import them into Inkscape.

Have you had a look at the "SVG Font Editor" in Inkscape yet?

just couldnt get my head around Inkscape.....I guess its enough for an old lady to learn GIMP without complicating things any further
