Hi all,

Well I am using Ubuntu once again.... I used it a bit back in 2008... then got a new laptop.... but recently, my husband has been messing with different flavors of linux and he got me interested again.... The only reason I switched was because I could not use photoshop in linux. So I did try to use install it in wine - but it would not work....

I have been reading about all of the improvements in GIMP - so I thought I would give it a try....

I am a Digital Scrapbook designer and need a good graphics program....

Now I want to get it to look more like PS - at least NOT all of the separate windows....

The upcoming update does offer a single window mode. Welcome to gimpchat, I hope we can help you out! I too am a photoshop to gimp convert. I love the program and can honestly say its replaced about 90 percent of what I did in ps.
