Hello everybody.

I am Gino D, from Italy. I am new here and glad to join this very nice forum.

I discovered GIMP several years ago through a computer magazine accompanied by a software DVD containing, among other things, this wonderful application. Since then, GIMP has become my favorite image manipulation program, regarding it as an excellent tool for any activity related to raster graphics, from the simplest tasks to the most elaborate operations.

One of the features I love the most about GIMP is the ability to use Script-Fu, so much so that over the last years I have been writing various scripts in this language, some of which are currently available on the GIMP Plugin Registry. In this regard, I have noticed that one of my scripts, namely “Drawable Multiplication”, every now and then is mentioned and recommended within some tutorials and threads on this forum; therefore, I wish to thank the relevant authors for finding it interesting. Lately I have almost finished updating the script in question by endowing it with additional useful options, and I hope shortly to be able to post the new version.

Thank you all for your welcome messages! :tyspin
I am very glad that you appreciate my scripts.

In principle, I am updating all my scripts with the main purpose of making them fully compatible with GIMP 2.8, while keeping the backward compatibility with earlier versions. Furthermore, as regards some of them, I proceeded to add some new functionalities.

As for the "Drawable Multiplication" script, for instance, I can already tell you that I added the abilities to scale and rotate the duplicates incrementally when the original drawable is a layer, as well as the option to place the layer copies in a new layer group. I am also thinking about the possibility to give the script a more evocative name.

Thanks O for the scripts link and thanks Gino for your scripts. I was already using Drawable Multiplication but I just discovered, Identify Image Objects and Remove Holes (from Selection). All great ideas!
