Hi,

I hope i finally found an active gimp community, i tried many like gimptalk (dead, sadly :/)

What i do:
I'm using gimp for many years now, i started with photo manipulation and creating avatars and signatures for forum.
Then i had a long break and haven't done really something with gimp - besides basic stuff, like resizing simple improvements on pictures.

Then in late 2012 there was that guy: David Revoy, some of you might know him. And i saw his drawings, and that helped me to get back to Gimp (and MyPaint)
So i bought a basic aiptek tablet (cheap ones are crap) and later a Bamboo. In April 2013 i finally got my Intuos 5 and stopped suddenly doing art ~ you know, work and stuff that keeps people busy.

And 3 weeks ago i started with digital art again, and resurrected my deviantArt account.

Well thats my story.

Welcome! This forum is pretty active. How do you like the Intuos 5? I upgraded from a Bamboo to an Intuos 4 a couple years ago.

i love my Intuos, but i've read you are good to go even with the 4 series. I placed a transparent Film (those for overhead projectors) on mine and fixed it with cellotape. With that your pen is like sliding and your hardware won't wear down so fast.
