Also new to the forum

New to the forum and trying to learn how to use Gimp. I'm sure I will ask questions which are already posted. I won't do it on purpose, it's most likely a result of not knowing how to phrase the search criteria correctly. Typically my searches return an overwhelming number of threads or none at all.
