Yes, McGIMP with G'MIC included is great! Only, G'MIC is now 1.5.2.2 (almost 1.5.2.3, it is being developed very fast), so I would recommend, if possible, to include its latest version in the next McGIMP release (it has G'MIC 1.5.1.9, now).
Another great feature for the Mac (OK, I have already said this, but it's really great) is that McGIMP has Iterative Refocus built in, and it is the first time that this filter is available to Mac users.
