Gimp.org still lists 2.10.24 as the current and stable download.

The site has yet to be updated. 2.10.28 is an official stable release from the direct download link.

Here's a screenshot of the download page on gimp.org:

I've read post #3. The title of your post says that 2.10.28 released. You then posted that you downloaded it and G'MIC crashed. Where did you download it from? It's not on the official site. The direct download link is 2.10.24.. not 2.10.28. Also, version 2.99.6 is the development version.

Thanks. :) That's what your initial post was missing. I think you should edit post #1 and put the link there. I will give the download a shot.

GIMP 2.10.26 works fine with G'MIC 2.9.9 :bigthup

BTW you should report this to GIMP...

I can get that error as well. Very clean installation, Gimp 2.10.28 / gimp_gmic_qt v. 2.9.9 ( also tried 3.0 - it is the same)

This has happened before: The gimp_gmic_qt QT libraries need updating. Someone should inform David Tschumperle

It's 2.10.28 that has the problem. Not 2.10.26

Bonjour,
This is a problem of updating the DLLs.
It's reported.
While waiting for the update on http://gmic.eu/ you can try this version :
GMIC 2.9.9 + GMIC-QT + GMIC-GIMP-QT for Gimp-2.10 - Win 64bit

Download...
Install : readme.txt in the archive

WFM. Thank you samj

Where does the styles folder go that has the qwindowsvistastyle.dll file?

Not required.
If you place "qmic gimp qt" folder in plug-ins can you run gmic?

Yes, I can still run gmic. I was just curious to where the styles folder would go if I were to use the theme.
