Bonjour,

Here is a plug-in that simplifies saving files : File > Save/Export clean

Thanks, lyle!! I'm really having fun (kinda) going through gimp 2.8 and making some discoveries.

Akkana Peck's save-export-clean plug-in has some gotchas in it; one, in particular, is if you write the same file name you have another image saved as, it will overwrite it without warning.

She did warn the user on the website so do be forewarned ....

Thanks for the heads up. I did see the warning in the plugin's header. Maybe the next version will have a check for that.

Guess I'm not the only one who finds the forced export kinda annoying. :hehe

nice script i prefer Save and Export of RobA because it always save the xcf, as very first step , then export in jpg and/or png

So no chances to close the image forgetting to save the original
