I always get my builds of Gimp-2.xxx, from Partha.com.
Who exactly builds Gimp on this website?

Maby Partha think this update is worth compiling, and 64-bit I hope.
I did not know myself all this time that these refraction builds was safe more then it did not trigger any virus alerts atleast.

You could go almost all Partha anyway if you just take the file-png thingies from the refraction plugin folder into parthas current one, this time? but only 32bit might work, or?

Will try it for the heck of it, just need to get through breakfast.

And there is a second reason for why i would go with this homemade Partha mod.
Because the previous refraction builds has some other bug that makes the menus dissappear and unhuppy stuff like that.
Don't know if it's still there but there you go.
I will try to do a Partha mod and se how long i smile in a row.

Just tryed the file-png only to Parthas 2.9.1 32-bit, and copying ALL file- did produce some messages during start so, that was not popular either.
Ohh well..

Time to test out the refraction as is and get to know it, see if it has moodswings or not.

Way too easy to make this build mad i'm afraid.
I even try to run Windows7 in classic mode, what ever works, but nope.
I'm going back to Parthas 8-bit now so atleast i can get some work done including having motivation still intact. lol

If you said the same on Cockos Reaper forum, i would dissagree totally, sort of..
Because with every pre release or beta or what ever they bring, i get exited just as now, but it usually work, if not, takes like a day for them to fix as soon as bug is reported.
Thats what i am used too.
But that is not opensource and Gimp have looots of souls trying to add and remove stuff, communicate and who knows what.
Can't be easy then.

I have witnessed lots of happy moments and helpfullness since i first found this place, i believe you/me.
There are some good forums out there for sure, just that some are affected by minor trolls with tourettes or what ever to call it.

Would love to get something in my head and knowing the tools and ways straigh of the bat one day to put that on the screen.
And when i know that, i would like to know other ways that do the same trick but better or faster etc, even with tools that was not design for it, what ever works, love trix.

For example.
Like first learning how to make a small round circle without it beeing pixelized, like 40x40 px.
White BG and black round selection fill in that, blur like 10 and then brightness tool to sharpen.
That trick might be basic or what ever, but as a newb, it sure got on my nerves that one.
Unsharp mask works on that too and wouldnt supprice me if there was better ways.
I still believe in my eyes, not auto, that said, mathematics is mighty but, it doest know my taste or personality.
"Magic" like those things seen the first time really makes ones day/week and tips/help are on GC all the time thanks to You!
Will it ever end? new stuff and trix comming all the time or improoved.

Ohh: and just recently, someone on GC said that you can drag the FG/BG to fill stuff... all this time, who knew. *doh
