GimpGif lost in mail

Operating System: Mac OS
OS Version: 10.8.5
GIMP Experience: Intermediate Level

Hello.
Strange things happen to my mail sent to my friend in Italy.
I sent an email from Sweden to my friend who is on holiday in Verona Italy with an animated GimpGif as signature.
He does not have his own computer with him. He borrowing the hotel computer. He says that there is no GimpGif in the mail? What happen to my GimpGif on the way to the hotel. Lost?
The only thing I do when I attach a GimpGif in to mail is to drag it from the desktop into the mail and send it away. May I doing somthing wrong? Tell me.

Maybe his email app is blocking images. A lot of them do that now. Maybe there's an option to display images he can check?

Do you use Outlook. On mine, when I send a gif, png, jpg etc., I use the Insert at the top, click that and it says insert attachment.

If your sure you attached the file properly; it's possible their IT set up that computer to block attachments.

Many email programs will not display animated gifs... only one frame (either the first or last).

Best to upload it somewhere like if you have a tumblr and just send him a link.

Odinbc I always drag the gif in to my mail without any problem.

ek22 I think your right the hotel may don't let any images come with the mail. I do not think he blocks images just because he is in Italy. At home he don't blocks any images.

molly No Outlook. I run on Apple Mail

RobA. I dont think thats the problem.
