making and using lace patterns

GIMP Version: 2.8.10
Operating System: Mac OS
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

IIRC, there have been a few people here who have made lace brushes or lace patterns. I have been searching but have had not so much luck in finding any instructions. What I hope to do, is have a lace brush that can follow a path or selection and make the lace pattern follow along appropriately so it looks natural, not all facing up or down, but follow along the contours. Of course, I also need to know if there are any brush dynamics I would need to set up for this to work.

Yes, I finally found that and made my brush last night. I hope to try it out later today. I can't remember if there are any already made. I cannot remember if that one can use colors or if I have to make it first then colorize it later. I'll soon find out, lol.

Here is a black and a gray-scale 2-ton. Just change the foreground color for the grayscale

Hmmm, it comes as a tar file? Wonder if that works in my McGimp. We shall see.

No problem, it unzipped just fine and I could put both into my brush folder.

Thanks for making the greyscale, I like to be able to use the color. Now I have to learn how to adjust the spacing , etc.

spacing of 40 looks pretty perfect!!!
