Need help to change the color of a white car

I just made selections of the reflection i colored and painted on another layer using the gray reflection of black, and set that gray layer to be 50% over top of the colored reflection.

Both of your examples look quite good.
However, what I would like to do is not use the original reflection, but use the new reworked image to produce the reflection.
This I find very difficult to do.
What you've done seem to me, to be the best way of doing it using the original reflection.

I took your car,
made 2 copies of it.
one copy i rotated so that the 2 front wheels would line up, and cut of the side of the car which includes 2 wheels on that copy so that only the front is shown
on the other copy, i cut the front away and just have the sides with 2 wheels and sheared it so that the 2 wheels would meet the original car.
and made gray layers to cover it with 70% opacity.

I think it would be impossible if the whole reflection was shown, because only a partial reflection is shown here i am able to get away with shearing and rotating..it would look really out of place if i had to do the whole reflection.

Not bad.
That's the same way I tried to do it. Minus the addition of a gray layer. I wasn't satisfied with the results I ended up with, so I didn't post it.
That's probably the best of a reflection anyone is going to get with this imade.
