Path Tool

Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: Intermediate Level

What's the best way to create a path with an irregular shape? It's basically an inverted "s" type shape, with with a little hook in it that makes it difficult to get right. I just can't seem to get it with the paths tool. I need it centered between the black, and red line, but at the left, it should follow the curvature of the red line, if that makes sense. Here's a photo of the section I'm talking about:

Best to make sure you have your paths dialogue options opened and ad nodes where needed then move those areas desired.

I never was too good at the path tool.

Actually started with a straight path. I then used edit to add nodes and design to skew the path. Not that hard and you can add as many nodes as you like.

I don't quite understand the kind of shape you going for.
Do you have a better example?

I went a different route Wallace. I was commissioned to do a logo on a knife blade. That's part of the handle, that I was going to place text on. I placed it in a different area of the knife. Looks 10 times better than my original plan anywhos.
