GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: New User


I have saved pictures in gimp a hundred times but today when I tried saving a finished project the final saved image displays completely black. Not sure why but any help will be appreciated.

Is it the saved image or the exported one? Are all your layers that should be visible visible? It might sound like silly questions but that's where I always begin.

You MUST use File>Export or Export As to save as an image. Save or Save As saves the XCF work space file.
