Genius tablet not writing.

Operating System: Windows
OS Version: XP - SP3
GIMP Experience: Intermediate Level

List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
Genius tablet.

Okay. So. Today is my birthday (yay for me!) and I got a 6 x 8 Genius Tablet. It was working perfect, and I tried two different type of downloads but GIMP won't work with it. It goes up and all, but y'all know how when you have the circle, for example, next to your mouse you can see the outline of it? Well, it doesn't show that, and nothing comes up when I try to draw with it. So what's up with it?

Welcome to Gimpchat! I don't have the Genius tablet, but for my Wacom I had to go into preferences and set up the input device for the tablet. I don't know what settings to set for the Genius tablet. I will look at the settings for the Wacom and see if they help at all.

Edit > Preferences > Input Devices > Input Controllers
I had to add DirectX DirectInput

Is that off of GIMP or from the tablet? I'm guessing that I have to go to my tablet disk?
