I’ve gone ahead and installed GIMP 3.0, but I’m running into issues with the Nik Collection 2.1. I’ve placed the plugin in the correct folder. Do the individual filters need to be in there as well? And what about 'Shell.out'—is that also required?

Hi Jappaloe,
you cannot just put GIMP 2.10 plug-ins into GIMP3. That won't work.
As for Nik plug-in: There is one made for GIMP 3 here: https://github.com/iiey/nikgimp/releases.
Scroll to where it says Assets on that site and then download the nikplugin.py file.
Place that into a folder called nikplugin. Then put that altogether into your GIMP plug-ins folder.
Restart GIMP.
As I do not use that plug-in myself I'm not sure if there are adjustments necessary within the plug-ins.

Thank you. I see what I was doing wrong now. It’s finally working.

Just incase someone else looks into this. The whole folder needs to go in together.
