APNG worked when I first installed it although the animation ran too fast. It's suddenly stopped working and is giving me the error message below. I've installed nothing since this.

Silly question but did you use save as or Export?

2.6 will save the image format though.
Are you sure you haven't changed any dll files?
Look and see if iconv.dll is in your plug-ins folder.Because there is already one in the bin folder.

There are several things that the apng plugin can't handle, as example will fail if layers have different sizes
i remember were more but this is the only that i remember now

Molly - there is no export in 2.6.11

Rod - I haven't changed anything at all but I'll look for the file just in case something has happened.

PC - I use copy visible and paste as new layer to create the frames so they should all be the same size.

The same animation saved fine yesterday, it just ran too fast.

Erisian were are other 2 bugs that i can't remember but are the reasons why i didn't included in my version

Ah.. i remember another not only layers of same dimension but not larger then canvas, all layers should be exactly at image size no less no more...and no offsetting of course

and was something else too,

in few words the apng plugin can even work but often doesn't

Does anyone know if there is an apng plug-in that works with Fedora 64-bit. All I have is the Windows plug-in

I had trouble installing it though.
use libpng and libpng patch 1.5.12
i was able to configure and make but not install.

There is a workaround using GAP and VirtualDubAPNG ( http://vdubapngmod.sourceforge.net/ )
You save an image sequence as PNG and import it into VD then export it as animated PNG.

Molly i was able to get apng working with Tux's directions from the other link i posted.
Follow those directions (using updated files 1.5.12) and you should be good to go.



I am not sure if you have to keep updating the patch for each version of libpng or not.Tux could tell you.

I have the 32 bit binary and ui for anyone who needs it.
