As far as i know Plasma 2 was never compiled for Mac.

I don't think so either. The plasma has been included in Windows Gimp for at least 4 years. I remember upgrading to it way way in Gimp-2.6

If you can find the src possibly Partha could compile a version for Mac. I am not saying he will just maybe if you ask.
