Hi All,
A gimp newbie here, still making the transition from PaintShop Pro...

When I open an image in psp, a temporary pattern of that image is automatically created. It is deleted when I later close the program. As you can see in my example, I can also set the angle & scale.

These temporary patterns are used as a fill in various projects, creating picture frames etc.

Does gimp do something similar, or do I have to duplicate my image, manually make those adjustments, save as a pattern & then delete when finished? I've been looking all through my patterns but don't seem to find my opened image.

Many Thanks

When you do a "copy", the image is copied as a "clipboard" pattern, which you can use.
Deleted when Gimp closes.
