I wish to print out an image, but when I click on print gimp automatically sets image scaling to match the printable area of the selected paper size.

I DO not want this, I want to print the image borderless, therefore the image is slightly larger than the printable area for a reason. How do I prevent gimp from auto-shrinking the image?

First thing to do if you are using the dark or grey themes is change to the System Theme. Edit -> Preferences -> Themes

That allows you to see the "Ignore Page Margins" tick box. Enable that.

Never easy with Windows printing, the Gimp print plugin is only a link to the printer manufacturers software. Make sure borderless is set up there as well. Often easier to use some other application just for printing.
