G'MIC CRYSTAL

My two pence tip
- if you like GMIC CRYSTAL and want to use it in your image processing, consider using images "naturally" texturized (i.e. not having large flat spaces) if you want to get your result in a short time. On my experience the difference in time is relevant.
Example:
-using this image
Attachment:
hummingbird-5255827_1920 (original).jpg
hummingbird-5255827_1920 (original).jpg [ 417.39 KiB | Viewed 2498 times ]

I got result from CRYSTAL with parameters 100,0,4 after more than one minute
-applying some texture on it before running CRYSTAL like here
Attachment:
hummingbird-5255827_1920 (texturized with whirls).jpg
hummingbird-5255827_1920 (texturized with whirls).jpg [ 1.41 MiB | Viewed 2498 times ]

I got the result in 1, 2 seconds

PS:
I did not post this tip because I fear a couple of minutes wait for getting results from a filter.
Nor I think you do.
My experience started with a much larger image, for which I had to cancel the filter after half an hour without result... :( :( :(
