the zip file is asking me to extract..where do i extract to?
I read the link,but i didn't see or maybe i did not understand how to added it in Gimp

You can't reply to Rods tutorials cuz they are locked so no one can post in them and they will stay on top. You can make a separate post in help or wherever if you want to reply about one of the tutorials. Just name it Gap tutorial help or something like that.

ok,I'll keep that in mind,but i posted because it doesn't show where to extract it to

just right click and where you see extract here, it will extract the file you downloaded right in the same window. Is the extract file in your download folder? Is this the Gap installer you are extracting?

You want to extract the gap files to the Gimp-2.0/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins folder.
(in the actual Gimp program directory)

I always find it easier to extract the file onto my desktop or downloaded folder then install it to the Gimp lib folder. Anyway, good bother ways

mine only shows extract and asks me to decide where.
i don't have an "extract here" icon.
But Rod just gave me the location:)

With RAR you would use extract files.



That opens your save to dialog for you.
