Well i wish install THIS help from Samj because on my 274 portable because easier to browse and nicer



(for the rest is the same help except that will be harder to install on linux, chm is the standard help format on win )

Scroll a bit for the english help, you will see also a yahoo /babel fish thingy to translate the page in english

well i try to follow the instrution but i have not too clear were i have to put that keyHH.exe (BTW here the link http://aljacom.com/~gimp/KeyWorks.zip ) and i can't make it works

any idea ?

Double click the exe PC and it will tell you it is installed.
It is actually a setup file.

How a beginner as me may hope to figure out how to use gimp without the Help ?

sure it install and even in the right place but then no help is displayed by gimp

But i had exactly same problem with the standard help (except that i had with standard version of gimp, i was hoping not with the portable )

But i am wondering...since is a portablegimp i may 7zip & upload somewhere so somebody (as you or Partha.. )may have a look and hopefully fix ?

i may do a last attempt following MareQ suggestion (here http://www.gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f ... ser#p32262 ) but if also that fail...well...upload and wait for rescue will remain the only hope
