Hello! I apologize if this topic isn't in the right place.
I just recently noticed the update, got it and love most of it, but I have some trouble with the brushes (or pencils?). I stumbled upon a topic about it but I think it was about PCs.
Anyways from what I can see I got all the brushes that comes with it, but how do I add my old brushes to it? I can't find a 2.8 folder, only the 2.0 folder and whenever I add to it (gbr and gih files) nothing shows up.
I bet I'm missing something important, so I hope someone will help me.

I would like to help you with this but one of the Mac users here would be able to tell you where to find that folder. I use Fedora and mine is found under /home/.gimp-2.8.
