turning off multiple layers ? [SOLVED]

Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

is there a way/tool that allows a selected "lower" layer to be viewable without having to turn off each layer
individually ?
eg, turn off/on all layers allowing 1 to be selected.

problem solved,
found it, press the shift key and click the eye.

Glad you have it solved sandgroper. You can also hold down on the shift key if you want to move a layer to the top or bottom instead of moving up one at a time, by Holding shift...then click the up or down arrow on your layer dialogue

Try combining the Ctrl key with the Shift key and 'eye' too for other functionality.

thank for the tips, wouldn't believe how long it took to find the answer.
came close to figuring it out myself, except clicked on the actual layers instead of the eye.

glad to know the layers can be quickly moved to the top/bottom as well.
