edit: and as a sample of things to come, Gimp 2.9.5 the mosaic filter has been "geglized" and applies directly on the canvas.

Thank you everybo9dy so far for trying to help.
I still haven't solved the mistery. Removed all the other scripts and plug-ins just in case something wouldn't work together. ... no change. so far. Tried on family member's PCs ... it works as expected. Mine seems the only one to not behave. I'll search further.

I have a version that 'brush radius' functions on my 2-8-20, I still have a couple of changes to do though and a test on a 2-8-16 and 2-8-10

in this version the brush adjustment is fine in 2-8-20, 2-8-16 and 2-8-10.
I have also included in the zip all my other JMS scripts
