For some reason Gimpressionist shows the old microscopic and unusable preview window instead then the fixed one
checking if the same with the other filters of the series and if is a regression from the last Onkel Hatti build (i saw he updated a couple of days ago )

i can't install/use mathmap
it gave a fatal error when loading gimp , the error message is a typical cryptic window message ,i forgot the copy the error number but i doubt useful , i would try to get the gimp verbose output to see if more clear

A bit of feedback on your build:
- Crashed at startup (missing libgimpui-2.0-0.dll). I've tried with gimp_FR.exe then with gimp2.8.exe to be sure. Following an internet answer I copied this dll that I found in /bin to /lib and it started correctly.
- Then freezes while using this feature: just slowness in fact, hasty me

I was just thinking to move feedback on this version on a new topic to avoid confusions

from none now are several builds of Gimpainter-2.8 for Windows ,
i used to test the same of you , from Samj , ...opening now the new topic

did you start gimp using the launchers (i.e. GIMP_EN.exe ) ?

You have to consider, that the version of underlying gimp is 2.8.3, this is an unstable version.
The disadvantage of gimp-painter is, that it is based on an outdated version of gimp. I didn't
(and will not) analyse the code, but I think, there are massive changes to realize gimp-painter
(just think about the ability to turn the painting canvas)
As asked before, gimp-painter will not be taken by the gimp developer crew, because it does not
use gegl.

I did some installations on multiple computers.
I have no problem (O.S. : W7 and W8).

For me everything was fine except that i was expecting to see plugins as gimpressionist with the bigger preview ...instead there was the usual microcosmic one

I fixed quickly on my copy just replacing the plugin files with that from the last 64bit Gimp build from Onkel Hatti

But i could not solve for Mathmap ...maybe for some reason is not recognized as 32 bit ?

I did several attempt to install it but none worked till now

Well, there is this conspiracy, you know, preventing me from using any gimp version outside my current 2.6.8, I'm not surprised anymore. I believe I'll postpone any upgrading attempt and get back to my priorities, which is using gimp to do graphics, not fighting with windows, themes, installers and those complicated things I know so little about. Besides, I already have a very satisfying portable gimp setup.

Mathmap : Does not work on these versions (the different versions available on this thread).

This version is for Windows 64 bit. Tested on Win 7 and Win 8.
You can start Gimp with "GIMP_EN.exe".

Edit:
This version also works on a local network (with Python).
Server : Win 7 64bit.

You can try to make a test as an administrator (I think the problems are related to security settings).
