Problem saving image transparent

GIMP Version: 2.8.10
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: Beginner Level

Hey guys my image has a transparent boxes but when i save it as png it just comes out white, please help, i attached my file below of before and after

No your PNG has indeed transparent holes, you see white because you are displaying it using some image viewer that shows transparency as white.

Ditto. When you post a transparent layer with nothing on it in this forum, it will show white because the transparent holes will take on the white background of the default background of the forum.

If you fill them with a color or an image they won't be transparent. Were you planning on leaving those holes?
