Hi all,

Just getting used to GIMP 2.8.10 and coming up against a few niggles, as expected. :-)

One rather annoying one is that the default zoom setting (Preferences>Image Windows>Initial Zoom Ratio)
does appear to work correctly.

When I set it to 1:1 it works as I'd expect, but when I set it to "Fit to window" the loaded images are actually
smaller (usually zoomed to around 18-25% depending on resolution), leaving a large border around them.

I then have to manually go into the View>Zoom menu and select "Fit Image in Window", which then gives
me the desired result - which is to fit the image to the full size (vert/horiz depending on image orientation).

Where would be the best place to report this as a 'bug' (?) or feature request? There seem to be multiple GIMP
forums and developers seem to be all over the place.

Yes there are multiple forums, and none of them are "official" - developers don't seem to use any of them, but prefer the mailing lists: http://www.gimp.org/mail_lists.html
