Gimp Window

GIMP Version: 2.8.10
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: 7 Home Premium
GIMP Experience: Beginner Level

Had this version before but have recently reinstalled it.This time I don't have toolboxes either side of my picture window in 'single window' mode. I have put toolboxes to the right of my window but they cover up the scroll bar and part of the picture that is being worked on.
How can I fix this?

They don't looked like they have docked properly?

Here is a little image on how to make your working space wider or more narrow and also the little black arrow you click to add or delete tabs etc.

Thank you molly. I have finally got the docks on either side. Properly too
