Gimp 2.8.14 or Gimp 2.8.10

Hi Gimper's - I have a question to ask you. what version should i stay with 2.8.14 or go back to 2.8.10. i don't known that to do can you help me please thanks? please reply CT-Gimper101

I would stay with gimp-2.8.14. That seems to be the most stable version at this time. If it is working great for you, why change.

CT-Gimper101 To even ask if you should go back a version hints that you are having problems with 2.8.14, so what could they be

As Graechan has already stated... you would have to evaluate the reason why you would need/want to revert to a previous version of Gimp. There seems to be more to this question than meets the eye.

I remember the 2.8.14 release was a disaster on windows OS and it was better to keep using 2.8.10 if you wanted to work with GIMP on windows

The GIMP devs updated then their 2.8.14 release after that, but there are still problems :

My advise is to keep GIMP-2.8.14 installed and update as the updates become available.

There was some bad issues with the layer dialog box, but replacing my libcairo files with the old ones (again, thanks Molly), all was well. See post below. Hopefully the GIMP gurus will soon fix all.
