Hello ..:)

I was working on Mahvin's tutorial making distressed paper or pirate map. I do not seem to have the curl script. I went looking for it in the registry and i knew there was one for g'mic but it does not show up either. If anyone has any ideas where I can get this script or if it is just me the operator. Please share. :) Thanks again.

Liana

Ofnuts..
Yep I know which one you are talking about and it is not there all I have is curve bend with other stuff. I am thinking gimp is not seeing the curl script/plug-in that came with g'mic. I do not have a any others> i looked on the registry and all I could bring up was the one associated with g'mic.

I believe ofnuts is talking about the built in pagecurl that has been with GIMP since 1.2x days at least (and probably way before then). :)

And what this guy is talking about is the fact that that filter is not there... So he is missing something or his computer or his GIMP is not recognizing that it is there.

Yes exactly what willy said...that is weird...well mine is not there and the one for g'mic is not being recognized either. I went to preferences and told where it was in g'mic like the other g'mic folder. Darn... :gaah Well would not be the first time I have had missing stuff issues. Until Iget a bit more savy at this I suppose I will continue to also. LOL :P

I ordered the "Beginning GIMP: From Novice to Professional" book it was in amazon finally. SO hopefully that will help me also. Not sure what to do about the missing filter, etc at this point how stable is the gimp 2.7 or 2.8? thanks

What version of GIMP are you using (32-bit or 64-bit). I'm currently using 32-bit. If you are using 64-bit, maybe the pagecurl plugin never got translated for 64-bit GIMP. :)

You can try re-installing Gimp.
Your user gimp folder will stay the same as well as your gtkrc files.(preference files).
This means all your downloaded or added plug-ins and filters will still be there when you re-install 2.6.11 because all those are located in your user docs gimp 2.6 folder and sub folders.Well at least that's where you should install them if you add new ones. If that folder is already there that is the one the new install will use.
