Loading issue

GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

So i just got gimp on this new computer and when i try to load it up it acts just fine until it says it's loading the fonts because then it won't respond.. i didn't get any new fonts i didn't delete or touch anything in the gimp files i just need to know how to fix this problem

If it's a new install of Gimp it might be a corrupt font in Windows.
Check your fonts with, Microsoft Font Validator.
Also have a look at, 3.3. Font Problems

The first time it runs Gimp creates a catalog of fonts and this can take very long. Give it one hour or so....
