 Post subject: where has everything gone?

GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: New User


Just opened GIMP like normal today and for some reason only the main box has showed up and none of the other boxes on the left have right like the brush box etc has shown. Where are they all please? how can I get them back? (pic included)

A few things to try,
Windows menu → Single-Window Mode
Edit menu → Preferences → Reset
Edit menu → Preferences → Window Management → and click the button for Reset Saved Window Positions to Default Values.
Restart GIMP

If each of those options Odin provided fail to bring your window dialogs back to normal try removing the gimprc file from your c:\USER\username\"gimp-2.8" folder and restarting GIMP-2.8.14. GIMP will rewrite that file for you on restart.

Maybe Microsoft is holding it hostage?

I actually had a user that had installed a new mouse and drivers and GIMP refused to run after this. So this is very possible. :) :lol
