Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to extract all the color information in an image onto a new layer such that I could have a greyscale layer beneath a color layer that would add up to the original image. I have a bad habit of working with color with flux turned on and I would like to simulate the effects of flux using g'mic's color temperature filter, but I would like to not affect the greys in the image. Any help would be appreciated.

You could try doing a Color to Alpha on a duplicate of the image. Placing a Desaturated layer of the image below the duplicate layer.
First do a Color to Alpha, using White and then do the same using Black. On the duplicate layer above the Desaturated layer.

This is what I got by doing this.
Below is the top layer with the white and black colors removed.

And this image below shows the Desaturated layer below it.
