Shapes Help

List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
Hiya...I am looking for pre set shapes ie squares, Circles, lines, Arrows, triangles etc. Is there such a thing or do I have to make my own? TIA

Is this something you are looking for?
Once installed they go under "<Image>/Addons/AddSCM/Create/JMS...
because these are my copies, and I very often change the registration menu.

another interesting software is arakne-path-shape-creator8, but I'm not a user of it, there are other gimp-chatters who know it better

I am a great fan of the Ofnuts path tools, but I also use Arakne Path Shape Creator. Both sets of scripts provide terrific path creation capability.

An older script worth a look, Shape Paths 0.91 works in Gimp 2.8.16.
If you're feeling adventurous; Filters → Render → Gfig. It's definitely not the greatest option, tricky to use, but I find it fun and sometime useful. TIP: Under Stroke start with a one pixel brush.
