Solution: The Monoprice install disc drivers were 3 years out of date. Since the Huion H610 Pro is the exact same as the Monoprice 10594, i.e. the same tablet from a different seller, installation of those drivers ended up resolving the problem.

I'll keep the original text below for posterity's sake.

Hey all,

Seeing as I've found a number of posts about this while Googling, I can't say this is exactly a new issue, but so far none of the suggestions I found seem to have fixed this issue.

The Problem:

I just recently purchased a Monoprice tablet (10"x6.25", PID 10594) to replace a failing Wacom Bamboo. When I try to use it in GIMP, pressure sensitivity doesn't work by default, though it works fine as a binary on-off. When I go into the Input Devices menu and enable the tablet, everything suddenly doesn't work: touching my tablet with its pen opens the right click menu; moves the canvas around, sometimes continuing to drag the canvas even after I lift the pen; or creates a circular cursor like that of any of the drawing tools that's ~4" up and left from where the cursor actually is, which doesn't track with the cursor accurately nor performs any drawing if I move the canvas underneath the cursor. During this time, my mouse also doesn't work; unplugging my mouse has no effect on this issue, whether I start GIMP with it plugged in or unplugged.

Attempted Solutions:

I've tried using a system restore to uninstall the drivers, disable the Windows Update driver installation, and re-install the drivers, but when I plug in my tablet I still get the "installing drivers" pop up. I've tried re-installing GIMP, to no avail. Uninstalling the Wacom drivers and restarting the computer caused the tablet to no longer be recognized as a tablet by both my PC and GIMP, possibly due to the default drivers being installed. Changing USB ports on the front of my computer has no effect.

Past Solutions:

With my old Bamboo, I would have a similar error to this; resetting the tablet user preferences when no programs were running fixed the issue, but I'm not sure if a similar solution exists for this Monoprice tablet.

Solutions Left to Attempt:

I just finished uninstalling the Wacom drivers through the Programs and Features page of the Control Panel, but I don't think it'll be successful so I'm making this post anyways (will update on results after restarting). I've heard the dev releases of GIMP are fairly bug free, but I couldn't figure out how to compile it using the wiki and I don't know enough about console work to troubleshoot (I think it couldn't find the gtk-doc directory? And that seemed to cause a number of problems further down the line).

Any help would be appreciated; it may have only been ~$55 after shipping, but I'd still prefer not to have this money go to waste.

You can uninstall any driver(s) using the Device Manager.
It could be that you have multiple driver installed, which could be causing a conflict.
Doing a system restore doesn't uninstall multiple driver that may be present in the system.
Check for any Grayed Out Drivers, within the Device Manager. That might be present and related to the Monoprice/Tablet Device listing and uninstall them.
After a reboot, check to see if this has resolved any of the issues.
If not, return back to the Device Manager and uninstall all drivers related to the Monoprice/Tablet Device.
Also uninstall any software related to the Monoprice Tablet.
Obtain the correct driver and any available software for the tablet, form the Monoprice tablet's manufacture.
Reboot once again.
Run Ccleaner to remove any leftover installation or junk files.
Connect the tablet to your computer.
You may be prompted for an install disk or software. If so, install the software.
You also may be prompted to install the driver as well.
If not, proceed to test the tablet.

Try this and see if the issues you're having are still present.

I also found this Monoprice support link, which you may or may not have seen.
What should I do if my tablet is not working?

Problem solved. When checking online to see if the drivers on my install disc were the most recent, I found out that they hadn't been updated since 2013. The solution was to install the much more recent (March 2016) drivers for the Huion H610 Pro; same tablet, just a different seller. Thank you for putting me on the path to finding these drivers, considering the issue turned out to be ridiculously simple! I'll edit the first post and mark the solution, just in case someone else goes looking for this info in the future.

Glad you've worked out the issues with your tablet. :bigthup
I never install drivers from a disk, that comes with a product I might purchase for my computer.
They're almost always out of date.
I find that it's best to check with the product manufacturer, to get the most up to date driver available for whatever the product might be.
