Patterns/textures (SOLVED)

GIMP Version: 2.8.14
Operating System: Windows
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

Is there any need for me to differentiate between a pattern or a texture?
I looked up this question and found this - https://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-concepts-patterns.html
(A texture, by the way, is the same thing as a pattern.) ...

A semantic exception in Gimp; Qbist textures when saved are not pattern files.
