I get many results and I still have no idea what it is you would like to create.

I think this is it. Green shirt:

GIMP is not the tool you need to reproduce this sort of animation. Certainly not exclusively. Many different tools and a team of people would help.

**EDIT: I see now it is merely a linking together of existing GIFs? Perhaps GIMP can do this? Wallace or Tin undoubtedly do know more on this subject than I do. I'm just the guy who solves the mystery of the YouTube video! :bigthup

There are probably better tools to animation with.
But I only know that if i were to do it and wanted to use free programs i already have i'd draw each frame and name them sequentially in whatever program (gimp) and then bring all the frames into windows movie maker and add sound and make into movie.
