I somehow lost the toolbox dialogs or options. I don't know what you would call them.
When you click on free select icon you would get options down below for example to feather.
All of the icons are missing the options below.
I've been through all the preferences and don't see how to get them back.

Try a reset in GIMP Preferences.

A reset is a good option.

Thanks, it was freaking me out but it's back now.
I don't know how I managed to lose them in the first place.
