Need help creating a simple image

Operating System: Windows
OS Version: 8
GIMP Experience: New User

Hello, GIMP noob here experienced in MS paint at a novice level.

I'm trying to create a pretty simple image to put on a t-shirt.

Basically, it's a heart shape filled with the artwork of an album cover with no border.

If someone could either direct me to a video tutorial on how to do something like this, I'd love a link, or guide me through the steps on the forums here. It's seems like a pretty easy thing to do, but I've been trying to figure it out for a while now with no luck and getting frustrated.

Any help is appreciated. Thx!

Would that be a record album cover,
or something different?
