Hi gimp users

I have 2 dockable dialogue groups.
I like to have 3 dockable dialogue groups.

Can i make 3 dockable dialogue groups?

You have two on the right hand side. There is another one below the tools, So you have 3. To add more tabs just click on the black arrow to the right of where it says tool options or any of the other dialogue boxes.
I only use one monitor so if you use more you may be able to make more as you can move your toolboxes to 'the screen'. I think you can do just about anything if you have the know how and room..

There are drag-n-drop hotspots all over the Gimp interface

but the one you want is at the bottom. Choose a tab to drag, look for the change in colour. Release and it makes a new dock, drag other tabs in or use the little arrow and add tabs that way. Do not want it any more, drag all the tabs back out to another dock or close using the little arrow.

I wonder how one can live with three vertically stacked docks. Personally I find the tool options of many tools to be vertically challenged, while at the same time our displays tend to be very wide, so I'm testing a side-by-side scheme:

3 high dock on a laptop is very tight. Not so bad if the display is HD.

Of course you can go overboard
