Have downloaded the Gimp v 2.10 help user manual files (HTML format) from
the gimp.org doc file website.
Desire to incorporate them into 64 bit portable Samj version
2.105.
Am aware that the help files must be placed in the
"user name" (or "program name")\share\gimp\help\"language name"\images sub directories.
Placing the v2.10 HTML format into the above subdirectory (ies) does not allow access to the help files.
This can be verified by referencing edit\preferences\help system and the choice "user manual"
still indicates that "the user manual is not installed locally.
When the "old" ver 2.8 HTML format files are placed into the above mentioned subdirectory (ies)
the help files are accessible "on board" the computer.
This can be verified by referencing edit\preferences\help system
and the choice "user manual" indicates that UNDER USER MANUAL IT LISTS
"USE A LOCALLY INSTALLED COPY" & "USE INTERFACE LANGUAGE".
Both the ver 2.10 gimp help user manual and the ver 2.82 gimp help user manual
files used for this endeavor are in HTML format and not text or PDF format.
Any suggestions from the Gimp Chat community ??
Thanks in advance for reading this query.
