ok so I have recently discovered and downloaded gimp and been working for hours and days nonstop ever since to try and learn everything I can as fast as I can about this wonderful program. I have been relying heavily on youtube tutorials for my main form of instruction and that has been working pretty well so far....except... I seem to be running into the same problem more and more frequently..I am missing things in my version of gimp that everyone else seems to have and take for granted. there have been several different things that I have found myself to be missing from my program but the only example I can specifically recall at the moment is im told that I should be able to go to FILTERS...RENDER...and then there should be several renders to choose from including CLOUDS. I definitely don't have clouds and don't know what else I am missing.

If you installed Gimp recently you have Gimp 2.10. Most tutorials still show Gimp 2.8 or even 2.6. There are plenty of new things in 2.10, and the Filters menu have been reorganized... But if you are looking for a specific menu entry, enter a "/" to open a search field. Continue typing the name of what you look for until is shows up in the list.
