GIMP Version: 2.10 Operating System: Windows OS Version: 8.1 GIMP Experience: New User
I installed Gimp 2.10. I am just learning Gimp and watch a lot of YouTube videos, especially on scaling layers. Most of the videos after selecting the layer and then Scale, they drag from the corner or sides of the scale to resize the picture, then select "scale". Automatically the picture is resized. I can click and drag, but when I select "scale" the picture is all messed up. However, when I use the arrows for width or height I can toggle the picture to the correct size. I have watched the video where the guy replaces the picture above the couch with a picture of a cat and followed him step by step, however, again, where he is able to grab the corner of the cat picture and scale down, clicks scale, presto the picture is resized, I am completely lost. I thought of uninstalling 2.10 and installing 2.8, just so I can have the same screen as the videos and maybe learn a little something. Any help would be appreciated.
